Funeral services for Marilyn Elizabeth Waldron, 80, will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor David Radford.
Marilyn was born on October 10, 1941 to Elmer Alphonso Hubier, Jr. and Lura Elizabeth Tatum Hubier in Mansfield, Louisiana and passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Marilyn was a resident of Shreveport and worked inside sales for the oil and gas industry before retiring. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her precious great-grandbabies with all her heart! She was over the moon when it came to her family. She loved LSU football and played softball and basketball, and was the family cornhole champion. She adored playing cards with her friends Dora, Juanita and Joyce and previously enjoyed playing cards with the ladies at the Southern Hills Rec Center. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Charlie Hubier.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Samuel David Waldron; children, Tony Webb and wife, Emma, Kelly Webb, Jennifer Petty and husband, John, and Merideth Ebey and husband, John; grandchildren, Courtney Arthur and husband, Jay; Randal Webb and wife, Lauren, Tanner Litton, Conner Mitchell, Nick Petty and wife, Allison, Adam Petty, Hannah Ebey, Addison “Kate” Ebey; and three great-grandchildren, Allie, Wesley and Daxon; and sister, Carolyn Brown.
Honoring Marilyn as pallbearers will be Tanner Litton, Nick Petty, John Petty, John Ebey, Mike Brown and Kevin Hubier.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Conner Mitchell, Randal Webb, Adam Petty, Robby Litton, Jay Arthur and Ethan Jessee.
